Im sure none of you follow my blog anymore because I have not written on it in almost 2 years.. sad! Anyway I have decided to start it up again, hopefully I will remember how to do this :)
I have LOTS to post if Im going to catch up the last 2 years, SO much has happened. For starters, Im married again and my new name is Pemberton. :) I married Nate Pemberton on March 6th 2009 We now are one big happy family of 8! Yes 8! We have 6 wonderful kids and now one on the way! :) A total of 7 kids. I'll post pics and more updates soon.

Sunday we had my father in laws memorial service, so many friends and family were there to pay tribute to this wonderful man and show their support. It was an amazing evening where the spirit was felt by everyone. After the service we all headed to Uncle Ron's to visit and eat. I feel so blessed to have married into this wonderful family! I could not ask for better. Vic will be greatly missed but we are not sad for him, we know where he is, and what a reunion it must have been with his loved ones on the other side! How thankful i am to have the gospel in my life, the knowledge of eternal families and to know that we will see our loved ones again!

So i have not blogged for over a month, alot has happened in this time so over the next few days i guess i'll just get you all up to date :)

Nate ( the guy im dating ) :).. his kids and me, savannah and sam all had a great outing at the hee haw farms, the kids played and then we went in search for the great pumpkin! man we found some big ones!!

dont you think it makes my baby look older!? :( She is growing up way to fast!!

Well we have a new addition in our home, A BUNNY! She is a 6 weeks old mini Lop. We read alot abt bunnies and they seem like great pets, i guess we will see.. if she bites I have heard they are pretty good eaten! ( haha oh im so kidding!!! ) Am I crazy? but how could i resist this face??

So for awhile now i have been really struggling with what i want to be when i grow up.... :) i have gone back and forth so many times its driving me a little crazy! I want something that makes me feel fulfilled and like i am giving back, also i want something that can and will be flexible because I really need to be home when my kids are. oh oh and get paid good money :) AH am i wanting to "have my cake and eat it too"?? but really who has a cake and then doesn't eat it??

So what do you want to be when you grow up? Have you ever had a dream or have something your good at that you just never have had the guts to explore?

And if you have any ideas for me.. please i sure need all the help i can get! :)

I AM OLD!

Most of the time when I go anywhere with Sara we are always told that we look like sisters, and people cant believe i am her mom... I have to admit it feels kindof good :) But yesterday we were shopping at harmons and sara made a comment abt something and the clerk looked up and said wow you ALMOST ( almost being the key word here ) look like sisters but i can tell you are her mom! WHAT?! Oh no!!

I finished this book in two days, its one of those books you can not put down!

It really made me think abt my life, the simple pleasures of just being able to take a shower anytime i want or if I'm to cold turn up the Thermostat.

One min you cant believe what you are reading and how a family could live like this, that these children survived and then the next min you think wow what a lesson to be learned here!

I realized that we choose everyday what we will become, want, and do.

To bloom where we are planted!

And that not only do our choices affect us but our children too!

One word of advise the dad in this book swears alot.

Im not the best at giving a book review sorry :)

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Well we made it to school! This year however all 3 of my kids are not happy to be there, savannah does not like her teacher at all! Sam has already been made fun of and Sara well she just gets bored. I really dont know what to do abt it though, If you know savannah she is a dramatic child and also has a strong will and personality. She says her teacher yelled at her and the other kids dont want to play with her. My heart aches with the thought that that might be true but im not to sure what to believe. She says everyday i just want to be home schooled mom PLEASE! ah! I dont know what to do So here is where i want some advice. Here i am a single mom, i wanted to start school in the spring, if all my kids are in school i can do that, but if i decide to home school savannah that cant happen.. can it? and if i take her out can i really home school? Do i want to? i kinof of like the free time i have to myself. Is that being selfish? Oh my my what to do?? if any one has any advice i so need it now! :)

We had to get one last trip in before school started, so we went to Mirror Lake with my parents in their RV, what a way to camp! our camp spot was so close to the lake and what an amazing view!

As you can see by the pictures savannah caught her first fish, on her first try too! she was so excited, not scared so bate, unhook the fish and all that stuff. She is now begging me to cook it! um....

We played games, hiked around, ate good food, and just relaxed. it was a fun mini trip and now its back to school...

A week ago our family had the chance to go to lake Powell with my friend Julie and her family. We had such a good time! Sara didn't want to go so we took Devin instead.

Some things we did were, wakeboard, wake surf, jet ski, boating, swimming, jumping off the house boat, sliding off the boat, catch frogs, treasure hunt, eat great food, and explore! Lake Powell is SO beautiful!

Sam was amazing at wake boarding and surfing! I was a proud momma!! Savannah loved loved to swim all day and catch frogs, and Devin was really good at wake surfing for it being his first time!! Sam and Devin had such a good time together :).I had a wonderful time watching them have such a good time and taking lots of pictures!

I did go explore in the water once, it was crazy, we swam in these little cave's, i wish i could have taken my camera in the water!

I just wanted to write abt journaling, and how important it is! I was reading in my journal the other night, the one i wrote in after Joel died, There were so many things i had forgotten. A few stuck out the most to me though and that was the ones that talked abt what joel had said and thought abt our kids. Our kids will never again in this life time hear their dad tell them how much he loves them or how great you are. Joel would come home everyday from work to see savannah and sometimes the other two in the window waiting for him, she would get so excited and run to the door when she saw his cruiser pull into the driveway, he would get down on all 4's and crawls in barking like a dog... ( we named him milford, and he sometimes slobbered ) lots of screaming and giggling would go on for a while then he would pick her up and kiss and swing her around and tell her "daddy missed you so much today"

Someday my kids can look back on these journal entries and remember how much there dad loved them! So get journaling all of you!! its so important!!

So I found this journal I kept just after Joel Died, I started to read a few pages. One really stuck out to me and i wanted to write abt it. ( right from my journal )

Sept. 9th 2003

"I had an amazing thing happen to me last night, Savannah was screaming and just nothing seemed to be going right at all. i headed to my room and knelt by my bed, Joels side. I told Heavenly Father that i just cant do this any more! I am now turning it over to him. I got off my knees and went down stairs got the kids ready for bed and turned to summer and told her Summer i dont think i can do this! 5 min later my phone rang it was amber, wanting to know if i was ok, then linz called, as i was talking to her misty called in on the other line. then my doorbell rang and it was Uncle Ron and Aunt Diana and their daughter Emily, by this time it was 10 o clock. then mel called! what an answer to my prayers! Joel could not be here so he sent his family! How blessed I am! I love my heavenly father so much and so am grateful for this answer to my prayers!"

wow, i had not remembered this, im so grateful that i wrote things down. I am grateful still for all Heavenly Father has blessed me with. For moments like this that remind me that he is always aware of us and hears our prayers. I am so grateful for eternal families!

Well my baby girl went to Prom tonight! I cant believe she is this old!! AH!! My mom made her dress, isent it beautiful! and she is wearing her great grandmother cameo.

She is such a beautiful girl.. if i do say so myself :)

Her date is her good friend Cade and they went with sara's best friend Beth and her boyfriend Mark... Savannah has the BIGGEST crush on mark :)

So as most of you have seen on mels blog we all got together Saturday for Sandy and Rollands sealing. It was so great, the spirit was so strong in the temple. Just wanted to share with you a few things i felt, one at the temple, we all felt Joel there, I think he was sitting behind me :) but i got such a strong impression that he was so proud of his mom and He loves Rolland and was so happy. And two ok so i felt him at the temple but i felt him even stronger at the park as his family gathered together and played kick ball, i almost heard him laugh! just like Joel to be present for the play :)

I cant tell you how thankful i am to be a part of this family! I love you all so very much!

Its funny how just getting the stomach flu makes you think abt things a little deeper, In between my many trips to the bathroom the last couple of days I have been reading this book titled " Your divine purpose" By Richard Paul Anderson..... amazing amazing book you all should read it!! Anyway today i was reading the chapter, purchased with a price. I wanted to write some thoughts and things they talk abt in this chapter,

When you think of all the possible ways a person can suffer in this life, be it from physical illness, pain and injury, or emotional trauma, The manner in which the savior suffered is incomprehensible! And yet he DID THIS that he might know exactly how you would feel in your circumstances. With that knowledge he would know how to care for you PERFECTLY and see you through whatever the trail my be. He descended below all things so that there is nothing we go through that he has not already felt.

About his own suffering, the savior said it " caused myself even God the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit and would that i might not drink the bitter cup and shrink".

And as the scriptures say, for all this, he is despised and rejected of men ; a man of sorrows , and acquainted with grief... Surely he has born YOUR griefs, and carried YOUR sorrows. He was wounded for YOUR transgressions, he was bruised for YOUR iniquities, the chastisement of YOUR peace was upon him, and with his stripes YOU are healed!

It amazes me everyday that our savior suffered for ME, for all of us, he knows every ounce of my sorrow and pain. When i am going through a hard time i know that i can turn to him for comfort because He KNOWS how to heal me!

For this I am so thankful!

Tonight the kids and i were bored, SOOO.. we decided to make a haunted house and dress up and try and scare each other, Sara and I were on a team and then sam and savannah... We had so much fun! ok ok i know we are so weird!! but scary too .. right? :)

oh and dont ask what i was supposed to be... I really have no idea.

So I went on a cruise! I got invited by my cousins on my dads side, who i did not know very well but got to know and love on our week long adventure!

We started in San diego then sailed to Catilina, and then finished in Ensanada Mexico.

We had such a blast, EATING, laughing, shopping and oh did i mention.... EATING!! :)

I was at mels house last night and she set me up on my new blogspot :) she is so great. So here I am, I have now joined the elite!

You know im not to sure really what to do on this thing, maybe i'll just write like its my journal... gosh do you all really want to hear my deep dark secrets?...

How blessed I am to be a member of this true church.

How blessed I feel everyday to know that I am a daughter of God.

How blessed I am to have an eternal family and to know that we are together forever! The relationships we have here on earth will last for eternity.

How blessed I am to have 3 amazing kids, Who teach and show me everyday, patience, work, strength, and unconditional love.

How blessed i am to feel the spirit, the fire that burns deep inside and there is no denying that what you heard or saw is true!

How blessed I am to feel the guidance and strength From our Heavenly Father to press forward and stand immovable.

How blessed i am that I know.. I know.
